BASIS, the association of Bangladesh's software and IT companies, began training people in 2007 to close the skills gap its members kept running into, and in 2012 set up BITM with World Bank support to do it properly. It counts more than 60,000 graduates and can train over 5,000 people a year.
Courses span graphics and multimedia, web and software development, digital marketing, 3D animation, data science, network and server administration, cyber security and cloud, IoT, robotics, and business and management — from 14-hour NSDA Level 3 certificates up to 144-hour post-graduate diplomas in data science and digital marketing.
New batches start every few days. Most courses are taught in class at Karwan Bazar, and some run online.
