Goethe-Institut Bangladesh

Dhanmondi, Dhaka Sunday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The German cultural centre opposite Dhanmondi Math: film evenings, exhibitions, a science film festival and a library, alongside its language courses.

About

The Goethe-Institut is Germany's cultural institute, and its Dhaka centre stands on Road 9 in Dhanmondi, opposite the Dhanmondi playground.

Alongside its German courses it runs a steady public programme. Cine Sandhya evenings pair a German film with a Bangla one; exhibitions, talks and competitions fill the rest of the calendar; and every autumn the Science Film Festival runs for weeks, on screen at the institute and online.

The building also has a library and the DAAD Information Centre, for anyone looking into study in Germany.
