A library, study space and MakerLab on Gulshan Avenue, with advising for students applying to American universities.
The Edward M. Kennedy Center is an American Space run in partnership with the US Embassy. It started in Dhanmondi and now occupies a floor on Gulshan Avenue, where it works as a reading room and study space as much as a library.
Alongside the collection there is a MakerLab with equipment such as 3D printers, free internet for members, and EducationUSA advising — the official channel for students working through applications to universities in the United States, with guides, university catalogues and essay-writing material on the shelves.
The centre runs a busy programme of talks, workshops and screenings, and members get discounts on the ticketed ones. Membership is open to anyone aged 16 or over and runs for two years.
