A 1924 railway reservoir among the Chattogram hills, now a lake-and-amusement park with boating, rides and the Sea World water park.
Foy's Lake was made in 1924 by damming a stream in the hills north of the city, to supply water to the railway town at Pahartali. It is named after Mr Foy, the railway engineer believed to have built it, and the land still belongs to the railway.
Today the Concord Group runs it as an amusement park: boating on the lake among the hills, dry rides, and the Sea World water park, which can be entered from the Foy's Lake gate or from the Colonel Hat gate. The cheapest ticket is lake entry only; rides come in packages.
