One of the country's oldest libraries, begun before 1866 by the Natore royal family — about 34,000 books, in a new building opened in March 2026.

About

Raja Ananda Nath Roy of the Natore royal family began this collection some time before 1866. It took its full form in 1884, when it was given land and a building, and it was for many years known as the Rajshahi Sadharan Granthagar.

After years of delays, a new building on the library's own site at Miyapara was opened on 9 March 2026. It holds around 34,000 books, and the Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi serves as its president.

Hours and membership rules are not published online, so ask at the library.
